Ecommerce Order Management Software Where The Order Is One Record.

Not a queue that mirrors your store and drifts from it. The order your customer placed is the order your staff edit, refund, label and archive. One row, one history, one status everybody is reading.

Placed, Worked, Settled. One Row.

Placed

One Record, Twelve States

Pending through delivered, plus a pickup lane for orders collected in person and a fraud-review hold. The status is on the order, so staff and customer are reading the same thing.

Worked

Editable After The Fact

Add an item, drop one, apply a discount, fix the address. Totals, tax and shipping recalculate and the change is written once, rather than a refund and a second order to undo a typo.

Settled

Captured, Refunded, Or Sent Back

Capture, void, refund in part or in full, or send a repayment link when a card fails. The transaction sits on the order beside everything else.

Fix The Order, Not Around It.

Most systems treat a placed order as read-only, so correcting one means a refund and a second order. That is two records for one sale, and a reconciliation problem later.

Here the order is editable. Add or remove items, apply a discount, validate a corrected address, recalculate the totals, and save. The order keeps its identity and its history.

Read The Orders Docs
edit-order.ts
// A placed order is still editable, and the totals follow.
await dash.admin.orders.editItems(orderId, {
  add: [{ product_id: "prod_...", quantity: 1 }],
  remove: ["item_..."],
})

await dash.admin.orders.recalc(orderId) // totals, tax, shipping
await dash.admin.orders.save(orderId) // one write, one audit entry

What It Cost Then, Not Now.

An order snapshots its pricing and its addresses when it is placed. Change a product’s price in your catalog next week, or a customer’s address next month, and the order still says what was actually agreed at the time.

It is the difference between a record and a live query, and it is the whole reason an old order can be trusted.

Archived, Not Deleted

Orders are archived, one at a time or in bulk. Nothing removes the row, because the row is the record of a sale, and a sale you cannot produce later is a problem you find out about from somebody else.

Twelve States, And Two Of Them Are Not Shipping.

Most order systems model one journey: it ships, then it arrives. Real trade has a counter. These are the states an order can be in, exactly as the dashboard names them.

The Order Can Set Things Off.

Seven points in an order’s life are available to Flows, so the confirmation email, the repayment chase and the review request are things you configure rather than build. They fire from the order itself, which means they are as accurate as the order is.

order.placed

Send the confirmation, start a fulfillment task, tag the customer.

order.payment_failed

Send the repayment link before anybody has to chase it by hand.

order.ready_for_pickup

Tell the customer it is on the counter waiting for them.

order.picked_up

Close the loop on a collection without a tracking number.

order.delivered

Ask for the review while the parcel is still in their hands.

order.cancelled

Restock, notify, and stop anything already queued.

order.refunded

Confirm the money back, and record why.

Three More Things It Does

Take

Draft Orders

Build an order that nobody placed online: a phone order, a counter sale, a quote you want to turn into a payment. It becomes the same record, with the same statuses and the same history.

Count

Reports And Counts

Order statistics and reports come off the same rows the dashboard lists, so the number on a report and the number in the table cannot disagree with each other.

Prove

Written Down

Every change to an order is recorded against the person who made it. When a total is not what somebody expected, the question “who changed this” has an answer.

Also On The Order

A Pickup Lane

Going to pick up, and picked up in person. Counter trade is a real path through the same record rather than a shipped order nobody shipped.

Labels And Recovery

Generate a label from the order, download the PDF, and re-fetch one from the carrier if it goes missing on our side. The carriers behind it are on shipping software.

Files And Repayment

Attach documents to an order, and send a repayment link when a card fails rather than starting the sale again.

It Reads From The Same Records

Shipping

Rates From Your Carriers

The label comes from your own UPS and FedEx accounts.

Stock

It Moves With The Sale

A placed order decrements the variant that sold, not the product.

Revenue That Reconciles

The money here is the money in the traffic report.

Questions People Ask

What is ecommerce order management software?

It is the system that holds an order from the moment it is placed until it is delivered, collected or refunded: the status, the items, the money, the address and the shipping label. On DashForDevs that is not a separate product: the order your customer places is the record your staff work, so there is nothing to sync between a storefront and a back office.

Can I edit an order after it has been placed?

Yes. Add or remove items, apply a discount, correct the address, then recalculate and save. Totals, tax and shipping follow the change and the order keeps its identity, so you do not refund and re-place a second order to fix a typo.

Does it handle in-store pickup as well as shipping?

It does. Alongside the shipping statuses there is a pickup lane, going to pick up and picked up in person, so counter trade is a real path through the same record rather than an order marked shipped that nobody shipped.

What happens to an order when a price changes later?

Nothing. An order snapshots its pricing and its addresses when it is placed, so it keeps saying what was actually agreed at the time. That is what makes an old order safe to reprint, refund against, or hand to an accountant.

Can orders trigger emails and other automations?

Yes. Seven order events are available to Flows: placed, payment failed, ready for pickup, picked up, delivered, cancelled and refunded. The confirmation, the repayment link and the review request are configuration rather than code.

Are deleted orders really deleted?

They are archived, individually or in bulk, and the row stays. An order is the record of a sale, and a sale you cannot produce later is a problem you hear about from somebody else first.
